A Little Bit About Me
Well, where do I start, I have been a PGA Professional for over 15 years and am based at Ulverston Golf Club, which is a fantastic golf course with excellent facilities located on South Cumbrian Coastline!
I come from a very strong golfing background. My dad Ceri was a PGA Pro for over 40 years and at many different golf clubs. I also have 2 older brothers who are also PGA Pro's, Chris at Beau Desert Golf Club and James at Darlington Golf Club.
I love the role of being a PGA Pro and have a great enthusiasm retailing and also love coaching and helping others improve and achieve their goals! I have a good reputation for my coaching and have had the pleasure of working with the Cumbria County Ladies Squad for their team training and I am currently coaching the Cumbria County Ladies Vets Squad. I have also coached men's county players as well as other PGA Professionals.
I am very passionate about growing the game of golf and enjoy helping those who are new to it. We offer free weekend group classes for our junior members and throughout the year run various series of adult Get Into Golf sessions.
I also enjoy playing golf, although with a busy shop and lesson schedule getting out on the course can be challenging at times but I am always keen to try and make time to play... whether it is in tournaments or just friendly games with my brothers, my wife Sarah or members of our club.
Anyone who comes to visit our Pro Shop will be greeted by our friendly club mascot, Bailey the Black Lab. If you keep an eye out you may find him appearing in some photo's on the site.
